Dayton’s In

Minnesota finally has a governor. The state canvassing board has certified the results, and GOP candidate Tom Emmer has conceded. Mark Dayton will be the man.

Oddly, according to the Pioneer Press’ Dave Orrick…

“In effect — and as bizarre as it might sound — Emmer’s waiver meant the 2010 recount never happened. The canvassing board’s certificate references a report summarizing the canvassing reports of Minnesota’s 87 counties. The final margin of victory: 8,770. That’s the same figure as when the recount started.”
