A Conversation With Adam Levy (Part 3)
Adam Levy is a remarkable man, a fact solidly testified to in this candid video interview series, the latest installment of which is posted here:
Co-founder of the Twin Cities rock band the Honeydogs and an active presence on the Minneapolis music scene, Adam is a noted songwriter, social worker, teacher and mentor. He is also a parent who lost his 21-year-old son Daniel, suffering from a serious mood disorder, to suicide.
Eighteen months later Adam and I sat for an in-depth interview for Think Piece Publishing to talk about Daniel’s death. In this, the third part of our conversation, we discuss the treatment interventions that Daniel received, why Adam chose to speak out publicly about his son’s death and the ways that his acceptance of his Daniel’s fate sometimes puts him at odds with the suicide prevention community.
