A house fire on the 9600 block of Chicago Ave. S. did significant damage to at least the garage and a vehicle inside it around 3 p.m. on Oct. 31, 2012. I ran outside–in my “pajamas,” as one onlooker exclaimed (really my lounge pants)–and shot some footage, which I edited down to this short video segment.

I’ve done no additional reporting on the incident in terms of calling up the local authorities for cause, etc. But it did appear to me that the damage was limited to the garage and that perhaps the house itself was undamaged.
