I interviewed Art Rolnick yesterday at the Humphrey School of Public Policy to talk about his ongoing work in early childhood education, and snapped this photo. Not a particularly artful image, but it puts across Art’s intensity and singleness of purpose pretty well.

The story will appear in Capitol Report next week, and is a follow-up to my 2006 Minnesota Monthly story, in which Art was named the magazine’s 2005 Minnesotan of the Year.

Art, 67, retired two years ago as research director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
