I know the clip below from HBO’s “The Newsroom” is at least five minutes longer than any network would really permit a talking head to have to voice an opinion on the air.

I know Jeff Daniels’ character–a Republican pundit speaking out so powerfully against the insurgents that have taken over his party–is a pure Aaron Sorkin fantasy.

But I’m damned grateful that someone is saying this out loud.
